Rogue Brew Pub & Eatery History

Rogue Brew Pub & Eatery BuildingThe building that now houses The Rogue Pub and Eatery has been a saloon-pool hall nearly uninterrupted since 1915.  The original building was two stories, and legend has it that it was a favorite stop of lumberjacks looking for "a little fun" in the upstairs which was rumored to be a bordello.

The one story building that stands today was remodeled between 1937-1939 after fire destroyed the original town of North Plains.

In early days after the remodeling, a barber shop occupied the front half of the building.  Once a walk-in cooler was installed in the bar area, the pub earned a reputation as having "the coldest beer in Washington County"-- a claim still true today!

Today the Rogue is a family and community oriented Pub and Eatery where children are welcome until 9:00 PM each night.  The Chamber of Commerce frequently holds its meetings there and in the morning many local workers can be found planning their work day over coffee.
